Yoji Shinkawa

one of my all time favorite games ever created in the history of gaming, Metal Gear Solid, right on top of Super Mario, sorry Mario fans. MGS created in 1998 for the PS1 by Konami in japan, brought out stealth genre era and need an artist who can show it, Yoji Shinkawa. Yoji is know for his famous work on metal gear that provided a gritty watercolor effect in his drawings. Japanese art covers a wide range of genres but their most famous style is using ink to express emotion of movement and simplicity. Almost like Japanese calligraphy by using ink strokes. Yoji, in his illustrations uses that style by applying watercolor which enhances movement and personality by giving the drawing a sense of Japanese culture of art. He designed his work on Metal Gear Solid in a sketch art design that shows a calm and stealthy figures. He is considered my all time illustration artist.
